A dramatic comedy about the world of fantasy role-playing games, SHE KILLS MONSTERS tells the story of Agnes Evans as she comes to terms with the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When she finds Tilly's Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she embarks on an adventure in the imaginary world that was Tillys refuge.

- Academic Guest Directing

In my 25 years as Artistic Director of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting I’ve experienced many, many directors. Kathy Gail MacGowan is one of the very best. Here’s why: her productions always achieve two things at the same time. First and foremost they serve the student/actors. Her casts aways grow exponentially as actors under her leadership. Secondly her shows serve the chosen play, with no indulgent conceptual directorial overlay. And yet each production seems like a unique event with Ms. MacGowan’s own collaborative creative spark. We will ask her back again and again …
